Find Logan County Released Mugshots

A mugshot of a released Logan County inmate belongs to an earlier booking and does not show current custody, guilt, case outcome, or supervision. A Logan County booking photo may surface in the Sheriff roster app, through a focused public-record request, or in an official state corrections record when the person entered Ohio prison. Selected official news or registry pages have narrower uses. Released inmate mugshots should always be matched to identity, booking date, custody agency, and the current court or release record. This discovery path points to the creating sources and does not operate a mugshot gallery or treat an old image as present-status proof.

Logan Released Mugshots and Records

A booking photograph records appearance during a specific intake. Release does not erase the fact that the image was created, but it also does not guarantee that the image remains visible online. For a Logan County Jail booking, the Sheriff is the creating agency and Ohio Revised Code 149.43 governs public-record access subject to exclusions, sealing, and redaction. Ohio law does not create a categorical promise that every county booking photograph must always be public.

State-prison photographs follow a different rule. ORC 5120.21 makes the full ODRC inmate record generally confidential while expressly allowing disclosure of the photograph and certain identity, conviction, incarceration, and supervision facts. A county mugshot and an ODRC offender photo may depict the same person at different custody stages. Keep the image tied to its agency and date.

Public-record limit: A photo does not prove current danger or custody. This private resource is not a consumer reporting agency, and mugshot data may not be used for any FCRA-covered purpose.

Find Logan County Booking Photos

There is no single official Logan County archive that combines every local jail photo, state correctional image, court result, and release status. Choose the channel based on the custody episode. Official sources are stronger than copied images because they show who created the record and may reflect later restrictions or corrections.

Commercial copies can remain after a correction, dismissal, or sealing event. They are not linked or endorsed. When an image conflicts with the current official record, contact the office that created the record and preserve the mismatch for correction.

Logan Sheriff App Photo Access

The Logan County Corrections page directs roster users to the Sheriff’s free mobile app instead of a standard web roster. The official promotional image identifies the “Logan SO” app as a TheSheriffApp-built product. Its pictured Inmate Roster can be searched by name, date, or inmate ID. Sample cards visibly include a booking photo, age, inmate ID, booking date and time, and sometimes release date and time.

That promotion proves what the depicted interface supports. It does not prove that every live person has a photo, that all released people remain searchable, or that the app retains a card for a fixed period. Search the exact name first. Then compare age, inmate ID, and booking time. If a released card is missing, call Logan County Jail at 937-592-8111. Absence can reflect a spelling mismatch, delay, retention cutoff, restriction, outage, or transfer.

The Released Last 24 Hours method explains how to verify a same-day timestamp without turning the app into an invented rolling feed.

Request Logan County Booking Photographs

A direct Sheriff request is the durable route when a Logan County Jail card has disappeared or never displayed a usable image. Start with the jail at 937-592-8111 or Sheriff at 937-592-5731. The official report-copy page expressly handles crash and offense reports, but it does not promise that the same channel processes booking photos. Ask which office maintains the image before submitting the request.

  1. Identify the full name and date of birth if known. Add the local inmate or booking number only after confirming its type.
  2. Give a narrow booking interval and arresting agency or court case number when available.
  3. Ask for the existing releasable booking photograph and related booking sheet, rather than asking staff to create a new report.
  4. Request notice before copy or delivery charges are incurred. Logan publishes no verified booking-photo fee or fixed turnaround.
  5. If material is withheld or redacted, ask for the legal authority. Accept lawful limits on sealed, juvenile, victim, health, security, or investigative information.

A useful request can also seek release date and time, disposition as maintained, and receiving custodian. Those fields keep the image linked to the correct custody episode and clarify whether Logan custody ended in community release or transfer.

ODRC Photos After Logan Release

Use the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Offender Search only when the person entered Ohio state custody. Search by exact offender number when known, or use a sparse name search and confirm date of birth, offender number, and county of commitment. The state photo is not a substitute for the county booking image. It belongs to the ODRC record and may have been made during a different admission.

An official ODRC released-result example shows how a corrections photo can remain beside a released status.

Ohio ODRC released inmate photo and status record for Logan County release research

The image demonstrates state-record persistence after release, not a Logan County Jail photo archive. Read Status, release detail, and supervision fields with the photograph. `APA SUPERVISION` means release from prison under state supervision, while `RELEASED - Judicial Release` describes a court-authorized state release. Neither phrase tells whether an earlier county booking photo remains in the Sheriff app.

Match Logan Released Photo Identity

A face alone is not a safe identity match. Compare full name, spelling variants, date of birth or age, booking number, inmate ID, ODRC offender number, docket number, booking date, and custody agency. Logan’s app identifier is not automatically the same as an ODRC number. Federal register numbers and ICE A-numbers belong to still other systems.

Build a timeline with separate dates for legal order, jail booking, physical release or transfer, and supervision start. A judge may sign an order before the jail completes release processing. An old photograph can remain visible long after custody ended. A news report can also reuse a file image without updating the caption. Pair the photograph with the official record and the date on which that record was checked.

Booking photograph
An image from intake into a particular custody episode.
Release record
The record of how and when that custody episode ended.
Disposition
The court’s result, which is not shown by facial appearance.
Supervision
Probation, parole, or post-release control that may continue in the community.

Use neutral labels. A booking photo does not establish guilt, current location, supervision, or risk.

Logan Official News Photo Limits

The Logan County Sheriff page embeds Nixle messages. The Common Pleas press-release archive gives narrative coverage of selected case outcomes. Either official source may reuse a law-enforcement or court image for a specific event, but neither promises a photograph, a complete arrest list, or a full release history.

Treat an official news image as context. Confirm the person through the docket and the custody agency that created the photo. A sentencing announcement can describe transfer to ODRC rather than community release. A Sheriff message may focus on an incident and omit the later court result. Publication date also may differ from booking and release dates.

Commercial mugshot pages and general data brokers are weaker still. Their copies may be stale, mislabeled, or inconsistent with current official access. No such site is needed to use the official Logan Sheriff, court, ODRC, or records-request channels.

Logan Registries Are Not Galleries

The Logan sex-offender gateway may lead to an image for a person who has a specific statutory registration duty. That record serves the registry law. It is not a general collection of released Logan County booking photos and does not identify every custody episode. Absence from the registry says nothing about whether someone was booked or released.

The same scope limit applies to other registries. Ohio’s Habitual OVI Offender Registry addresses its defined conviction criteria. VINELink serves custody status and event notification, and a photo is not promised for every participating feed. Use each official system for its stated role. Do not convert a narrow statutory photo into a general claim about current custody, address, or conduct.

Note: Registry images document a separate legal duty and should not be described as the Sheriff’s historical mugshot archive.

Ohio Mugshot Sealing and Removal

ORC 2953.31 defines official records broadly enough to include photographs and fingerprints in Ohio’s sealing framework. Eligibility and access depend on the case, disposition, offense, history, and current law. A remote no-result can reflect sealing or another access limit. It should not be treated as proof that no booking occurred.

ORC 2927.22 addresses a specific pay-to-remove practice. It prohibits a publisher or disseminator from negligently soliciting or accepting payment from the depicted person to remove, correct, modify, or refrain from publishing defined booking-photo or criminal-record information. The law does not ban all official publication and is not the statute that grants access to Sheriff records.

For an apparent error or a sealing-related access issue, contact the office that created the image and provide the authoritative court order or identifying record. The Clerk handles court entries, the Sheriff controls Logan booking data, and ODRC Central Records addresses state-record issues. Do not pay or rely on a commercial removal service to change an official source record.

Photos Do Not Prove Release

A released person usually leaves the live county roster, but online visibility is not the same as record retention. The photo may remain while the status changes, or the whole card may disappear. Call Logan County Jail and obtain the release record to establish the end of the local custody episode. Read the correct court docket for bond, dismissal, sentence, judicial release, community control, or commitment.

If the jail record shows transfer to Ohio prison, move to ODRC. If federal or immigration custody is documented, use BOP or ICE rather than the Logan app. A transfer means one custodian released the person to another custodian. It is not proof of community release. The Logan County released-inmate record path helps reconcile those systems for a named person.

The most reliable conclusion stays narrow: this photograph belongs to this identified booking or correctional record as of this date. Present status must come from the agency that owns the newest custody episode.
